About
To me, therapy is a safe space to explore the things about yourself that you don’t ordinarily get to explore in everyday life. For some, that can be a space to “vent” to an unbiased, nonjudgmental person who cares about your wellbeing. For others, it’s a place to look at, reflect on, and gain insight to patterns that are coming up in their lives. And for many, it can be a place where small and big changes are made in the way we approach large and small stressors and challenges. My name is Landis Bejar and I’m a therapist in New York. I love working with clients in their 20s and 30s who are dealing with feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression around major life transitions, changes and challenges. I specialize in working with brides, grooms, and couples who are going through this as they are planning their wedding - a period of time which can seem euphoric from the outside, but can actually bring up a lot of stress, uncertainty, and relationship strain. In therapy with me, we work through your challenges, doubts, and concerns together. I always start therapeutic work by building a strong, trusting relationship, rooted in the client’s strengths. From there, I integrate different approaches in my practice to adapt to the needs of each individual client. Whether it’s a goal of getting to the “happiest day of your life,” or just getting to your version of “happy,” I really believe that therapy can help get you there, and would feel to work with you as you embrace that process and work toward your goals.
