About
Professional Experience:
Adam is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He received these licenses after obtaining his Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Philosophy from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
His experience at juvenile corrections facilities, residential treatment centers, and working in a Family Therapy Clinic have guided him to appreciate the struggle of adolescence. He has worked with adolescents and families who were caught up in the throes of substance abuse, severe mental disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and anger.
He was previously the Director of the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs (IOP/PHP) at New Dimensions at the Woodlands location. He regularly provided individual therapy, and facilitated peer and multi-family groups.
Adam identifies himself as an educator helping his clients live by the principles of love, honesty, spirituality, accountability, trust, and forgiveness as central to a recovery lifestyle.
Family Life:
Outside of his educational experience, Adam’s life experiences (including being a father of 3 little girls and a husband to a beautiful, creative, and fun loving wife) have led him to develop great care and concern for the precious and powerful connection between parents and their children.
